BREAKING: APC Drops 12 Lagos Assembly Lawmakers From 2027 Ticket List
According to a report by The Nation on Monday 25th May 2026, the All Progressives Congress in Lagos State has officially released the final list of candidates for the 2027 Lagos State House of Assembly elections, leaving out 12 serving lawmakers, including key principal officers and several influential members.
The candidate list, signed by the Lagos APC Chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi, marks a major shake-up within the state legislature ahead of the next general elections.
Among the lawmakers who failed to secure the party’s return ticket are Majority Leader Noheem Adams, Chief Whip Fatai Mojeed, and Deputy Chief Whip Setonji David; Their exclusion has drawn attention due to their prominent roles in the Assembly leadership.
Also absent from the final list is Desmond Elliot, who represents Surulere Constituency I and is one of the most recognizable political figures in the Lagos Assembly because of his background in the entertainment industry.
