BREAKING: Amaechi Never Planned To Step Down — Momodu Reveals

ADC chieftain Dele Momodu has defended the outcome of the party’s primary election, stating that every effort was made to ensure fairness and accommodate all interests during the process despite concerns raised by former Rivers State governor, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.

Speaking during an interview on Arise News, Momodu explained that the party leadership worked hard to conduct a transparent and credible exercise that would give every aspirant an equal opportunity to participate while also preserving unity within the ADC ahead of future political engagements.

“And as a matter of fact, it was my friend and brother, the Right Honourable Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, who wanted this election so desperately. He said he didn’t want consensus. He didn’t buy the form to concede to anyone, and every effort was made to satisfy him.”

He noted that disagreements are common during party primaries but stressed that such differences should be resolved internally through dialogue and mutual understanding rather than actions that could create further divisions within the party structure.
