BREAKING: ADC Declares Winner Of Kaduna Gov Primary

A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Ibrahim Wala, alleged that the party’s presidential primary election was manipulated and compromised by widespread irregularities.

Wala, a known ally of former Rivers State governor and presidential aspirant, Rotimi Amaechi, claimed that the outcome of the exercise was allegedly determined outside the official voting process.

The ADC chieftain made the allegation on Wednesday while reacting to the outcome of the party’s presidential primary election, which has already been rejected by Amaechi over what he described as a lack of transparency and fairness.

Wala, who monitored the exercise in Gombe State, accused some party officials of turning the primary into what he called a “brazen, shameless auction that betrayed every value the ADC promised to uphold.”

According to him, delegates and party members were intimidated during the process, while several voters were allegedly disenfranchised.

He further alleged that the final outcome of the exercise was written and concluded in a hotel room away from the official collation process.

The ADC stalwart also called on former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, who is currently leading in the contest, to distance himself from the disputed outcome.

Wala insisted that he had “undisputed evidence of irregularities and voter disenfranchisement” which allegedly took place during the exercise in Gombe State.

“I was personally approached by an agent offering to take me to the committee leadership’s hotel room to secure whatever I needed.
