Azikiwe Who Was Neither Part Of The Coup Nor Part Of The War Should Not Become Your Scapegoat -Sani

Comrade Senator Shehu Sani has defended Nnamdi Azikiwe against those who blame him for Nigeria’s civil war. Speaking on Creative Lord Tv, he said Nnamdi Azikiwe was neither part of the failed 1966 coup nor the war itself, so he should not be made a scapegoat.

Shehu Sani argued that if people refuse to insult those who planned the coup or led the war, they should not attack a man who was not consulted to join either event.

In Comrade Senator Shehu Sani’s words: “If Ojukwu did not join the coup which Nzeogwu planted because they didn’t consult him, so why should Nnamdi Azikiwe join a war that he was not consulted to join?”

He added: “If you cannot insult the person who initiated a failed coup, you cannot insult a person who led a civil war. So why should someone who was neither part of the coup nor part of the civil war become a scapegoat of your anger…....
