Area Boys Take Thief To Market Square, Forcefully Shave His Dreadlocks, Slap Him Multiple Times After He Was Caught Stealing Generator And Cylinders

A young man accused of stealing a generator along with two small gas cylinders has been subjected to a harsh and humiliating public ordeal after being apprehended, with area boys forcibly shaving his dreadlocks while striking him repeatedly as punishment.

According to the footage, the suspect was made to sit directly on the generator he allegedly stole, with the two cylinders positioned around him, arranging the very evidence of his alleged crime as a backdrop to his punishment.

One of the men can be seen wielding a pair of scissors, working through his hair as the shaving process got underway, while the young man endured repeated slaps throughout the ordeal.

Despite the visible anger and frustration on his face, the suspect remained seated, offering little resistance as the group carried out the punishment, seemingly resigned to enduring the humiliation rather than risk further confrontation with those surrounding him.

The video has since circulated widely online, adding to a long list of similar incidents where communities take matters into their own hands against suspected thieves rather than relying on formal police intervention.

While such acts are sometimes framed as deterrents against theft, they continue to raise serious questions about due process and the physical harm inflicted on suspects before guilt has been formally established through any legal proceeding.
