APGA Leadership Affirms Support For Tinubu 2nd Term As Asst Pub Sec Leads City Boys Movement

The National leadership of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (  APGA) has reaffirmed it’s backing of the second term reelection of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu noting that it’s party has no Presidential candidate.

This was made public at Umueze Anam in Anambra West Local government area when the Assistant Publicity Secretary of the party for the South East Chief Ojukwu Obakasi was made the leader of City Boys Movement in the area .

According to Obakasi shortly after his investiture; 

“Politics is all about interest and the interest here is President Ahmed Bola and APGA as our  party has no Presidential candidate and our candidate is Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election”

“I am a member of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of our party and after our meeting the party adopted Tinubu as our candidate and so I am not  here by accident and this is an instruction from above “

Obakasi contended that most politicians of the South East play politics of sentiments even when it is glaring that there is no visible alternative in the coming election and this issue of lone ranger status had remained the bane of  politics and governance  in Igbo land.

“Our people are guilty of playing sentiments in politics when you know that the picture is clear “

“We urge you all and Ndigbo not to waste their votes and I am here to formerly present myself as a true supporter of Tinubu ” he said.

Odipko Ofozoba who is the Coordinator City Boys Movement Anambra West Local government area said that the Movement is made up of people with line minds adding that they are made up membership of other political parties across the South East geopolitical zone.

 “City Boys Movement is  made up of people of like minds and the Labor Party in Abia , APGA in Anambra and Former PDP in Enugu state are members of the organization”

“We are working under the directive of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu  to  coordinate the City Boys and that is why we are here”

“We are working with APGA to deliver Tinubu because the Progressives are working together and that is the essence of the City Boys Movement” he said.
