Accra Academy Old Boys Storm Street To Bring Massive Energy Ahead Of Historic NSMQ Grand Finale Appearance

The streets are already feeling the excitement as old students of Accra Academy, popularly known as the “Bleoo” family, have stepped up their support ahead of the much-anticipated 2026 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) Grand Finale.

A video circulating online shows Accra Academy old boys arriving in a colourful display, singing, waving flags and showing strong support for their alma mater as the school prepares for its biggest NSMQ moment yet.

The excitement follows a historic achievement by Accra Academy after the school secured its first-ever place in the NSMQ Grand Finale.

The “Bleoo” boys defeated Achimota School and Bright Senior High School in a tense semi-final contest, finishing with 54 points to book their place among the final three schools.

Accra Academy will now face two-time champions St. Augustine’s College and eight-time champions Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School (PRESEC-Legon) for the ultimate title.

The final promises to be a clash of history, experience and ambition, with PRESEC seeking another trophy, St. Augustine’s hoping to add to its achievements, while Accra Academy aims to complete a dream run by winning its first NSMQ championship.

For the old boys and supporters of Accra Academy, the 2026 finale represents more than just a quiz competition, it is a chance to witness their school make history on the biggest academic stage in Ghana.
