1 lightly hurt as Palestinian car hits settlers who blocked West Bank road and hurled stones
A Palestinian driver hit and lightly hurt an Israeli who had been part of a group of settlers that blocked a West Bank road Saturday night and hurled stones toward Palestinian motorists.
Dozens of rioters gathered at the junction and blocked Palestinian cars at the Efrat Junction, south of Jerusalem, according to the Israel Defense Forces.
One driver hit one of the Israelis with his car, lightly injuring him, before fleeing the scene and subsequently being arrested by IDF troops, the military said.
Footage of the incident showed a car being accosted by a group of men, before accelerating and veering sharply in an attempt to push through.

The IDF said soldiers and Border Police officers carried out roadblocks in the area, adding that within a short while, the Palestinian suspected rammer was arrested, alongside several other suspects.
There were no reports of Israelis arrested for attacking the Palestinians.
The incident came amid frequent clashes between settlers and Palestinians across the West Bank in recent months, as violence by both groups has soared since the Hamas attack on Israel triggered the Gaza war in October 2023.
Critics have accused the government and law enforcement of turning a blind eye to violent attacks by settler extremists, which have become increasingly deadly in recent years and occur on a near-daily basis. Arrests are rare and prosecutions are even less common.
The military recorded 867 incidents of nationalistic crime and settler violence in 2025, compared to 682 incidents in 2024.
